Ruffles galore!

I loved the blue ruffle bag so much that I made another one! This one didn't turn out quite as well, being smaller and the back being inside out, but I like it anyway.

Car boot bargains

Today I visted the car boot slae, as it's been such lovely warm weather. I got loads of bargains! All this stuff plus a sports top and a next jacket, for about six pounds. Now that is what I call a bargain.

Here's a fridge magnet with a quote from Shakespeare - " There IS money, spend it, spend it, spend more" That sounds good to me. Also an eyeshadow and heart, which I'll make into a necklace- 20p each! The watercolour pad was the best deal for only 10p.

These to bags were 50p each, and an amazing deal, since the one on the left is from Monsoon.
This dotty Union Jack box is perfect for storing my papercraft stuff, and along with the thread and pencil, it all came to £1.10
I also bought a beautiful ruffle top, which fits perfectly! All in all, a great day. And to make it even better, I'm hopefully going to see the Hunger Games tonight, which I'm really looking forward to.

It's the little things in life...

It's funny how even the smallest things in life make such a big difference. Today I'm going to show some of the little things in my bedroom that make me smile.
My mum gave me this bag, and though it's battered, I love it to bits.
The sequins are really amazing, and when this bag finally wears out, I'm going to steal them!
This letter A is from my aunty, and the dotty spottiness makes me feel happy whenever I look at it. It's so bright and fun!
I really love the art deco cards, so when I saw this calendar in a sale (mid january!) I had to get it.
I painted this little japanese china doll at my friends birthday party, and her serene little smile is so cute and happy. It's meant to be painted the other way round, but I thought that this way loked much better.
One of my othere friends bought these head dots for me from little India. I can't bear to use them, so I just keep them in their casing, and look at them every once in a while, when I'm feeling a bit gloomy. Their ornateness is really rather wonderful!
And of course, my sewing space. It's a little untidy...
